This is an easy way to make some money if you have a website. For people who love to create and write content, whether for business or for fun in their spare time, Ad Publishing is a great simple way to make extra money for doing what you already love doing. Some companies that offer Ad Publishing are Google Adsense, Bidvertiser, Yahoo Publisher Network, and Microsoft AdCenter. I've tried a few ad publishing programs... I've read reviews about each program... I've read the positives and negatives of each program... but if you ask me, there is no final winner. Many of the reviews I've read have conflicting opinions. For the most part, I've just decided to stick with the most popular Ad Publishing program, Google Adsense. They've treated me well, so I've had no reason to change yet!

Here's how Google Adsense and most Ad Publishing programs work:
Many advertisers pay Google to get relevant traffic hits to their website. One of the ways Google accomplishes this service is through the help of website publishers. To get publishers to advertise these text and/or video ads on their website, Google splits some of the advertisers' money with the publishers. Publishers would then have an incentive to sign up to Google Adsense, where they can find adveritising unit codes to post on their website.

As Google crawls each publishers website, Google would automatically be able to show relevant ads to the each publisher's content. As visitors visit a publisher's website, they will see relevant ads and may be interested. Everytime a click is made on these ads, publishers earns money. Also, small amounts of money can accrue simply for impressions (ads not clicked, but loaded on the visitors screen).

One of a couple of Ad Publishing tips to come:
Most publishers tend to place the ad code at the top of their website, but you can usually find better results by placing ads by the side or under the content. Your website would look less professional if the first thing a visitor sees is an advertisement at the top. Remember that visitors come to your website to read your content first. They would either not even bother to look, or just forget about the ads they see at the top of a page. After visitors read some or all of your content, the relavant ads at the side or bottom of the content may attract their attention to be their next place of visit.
